Website design can be tricky to get just right, so we at Studio Culture have compiled a list of the “4 C’s” – clarity, colour, content, and call to action – to help you get started. These key features are things you can always keep in mind when planning to design a website. Be sure to also contact us for expert help on web design, SEO, branding, digital marketing, and more.

Clarity

What is the purpose of your website? This should be your first port of call when designing. Think about what you want your audience to get out of your site and make it clear. Layout, content, text, colour, and language can all help shape how people see your business. Make sure that the graphics are clean and neat – you don’t want clutter or it will be overwhelming and confusing. Choose appropriate fonts and sizes that will direct your customer’s eyes to all the right places.

Colour

Colour is one of the most important factors of branding. Everyone has personal connotations of their own attached to colour, but make sure you bring your brand personality through your website’s colour scheme. We at Studio Culture use green that we ensure is consistent throughout our website. This means that every time a customer visits, they automatically associate that colour with us.

Content

Once your website is successfully put together, filling it up with relevant and interesting content is the next step. Research your audience. What do they like? What do they want to know? What will they share with friends and family? Blogging not only engages your audience, but it boosts your SEO results and increases click-through rates.

Call to action

Once you’ve made a great impression and informed your customers about your business, give them a call to action. What do you want them to do next? “Contact us for a free quote,” “follow us on Twitter,” and “subscribe to our newsletter for more updates,” are all ways for your audience to get in touch with you and your brand. All of these CTAs can be done using buttons and forms that fit seamlessly in your website.

Remember, you have less than a second to create your first impression. The most used button on the web is the back button, so make sure your website stands out – in a good way. Contact Studio Culture today for expert Brisbane-based web design assistance.
