“Hi. I’m Joe Fox from Studio Culture. We’re a creative and strategic digital marketing agency, and today I’m going to be talking to you about how you can retain more of your customers and get that customer retention that you need to continue growing your business through social media marketing.

Now, there’s a few different ways to do this, and I’m going to talk to you about one that I find super important and super useful for our clients. That’s reposting content that people are using and tagging your brand in. For example, someone on Instagram buys your product off your website, gets your product, and then features it in a photo. It’s really good to show them and give them a shout out, and let them know that they’re appreciated by re-sharing that content. We call that ‘regraming’, or using user generated content.

Another great way to retain clients or get business from existing clients or customers is to utilise remarketing. So there’s different forms of remarketing to use. Of course, there’s Google Adwords remarketing, but today I’m going to speak about it in a social media sense. Now, if you’re not using Facebook’s all powerful pixel on your webpages or landing pages, then go out there and instal that straight away. It’s something very important to have on your website, and it allows you to retarget customers who have visited certain pages or certain product pages that you may have on your website or on your landing page campaigns. I definitely suggest doing that because you can remarket to them through Facebook ads, as well as Instagram ads.

Another great function that Instagram allows users, and businesses, and companies to do is to do Instagram Live. This is a great way to stay front of mind with your customers. It’s also a great way of showing them the behind-the-scenes of the business, or what the business is up to on a day to day. Remember, social media is all about storytelling, and what better way to do storytelling than utilising Instagram Live or Facebook Live.
