I thought I would share some quick tips that can immediately make a difference to your current social media marketing.
1: Be authentic
Brands that connect the best with their audience are always authentic on social media. Humility, honesty and helpfulness show authenticity and will help build rapport with your audience.
2: Don’t push sales and product
Push great content that is relevant, helpful or amusing to your audience. Check out Gary Vaynerchuk’s best selling book ‘Jab, Jab, Jab, Right Hook‘ for a more in depth overview of this theory.
3: Use content that is the most engaging on each platform
Video works well on Facebook, high quality appealing imagery works well on Instagram. Informative interesting published content works well for B2B and thought leadership on LinkedIn.
4: Engage with your audience
Start conversations and reply quickly to questions and direct messages. Social media is about being ‘social’, so remember to have conversations with your audience.
5: Be consistent with your posting
Running a great social media presence takes time and consistency. Being consistent shows your audience you mean business about adding value on a daily basis.
